Treatment
Personal growth is encouraged in every aspect of our program. At Providence Pass we follow a model designed by each therapist focusing on the adolescent’s emotional, physical and cognitive ability to relate. While every journey is unique, we do not set rigid timelines or constraints for progression, most clients are at Providence Pass for a period of nine to twelve months.
All of our therapists have Master’s level or Doctorate degrees. We have a team of professionals who not only carry the needed credentials, but have extensive experience working with families and have a passion for helping adolescents.
Therapeutic Approach
Each client’s emotional, educational and behavioral progress is closely monitored by the staff involved in the process. Routine reports are shared with parents on a weekly basis.
All clients at Providence Pass have weekly contact with parents. Letter writing is implemented as an integral part of restoring family relationships. Skype sessions are encouraged on a regular basis so parents can see their child and family visits are a normal part of our program.
Developing a Treatment Plan:
First we conduct and assessment to gather in-depth information regarding cognitive, behavioral and social-emotional function in order to develop a treatment plan. To conduct psychological evaluations, psycho-educational testing, neurological testing and comprehensive clinical evaluations.
Clients receive individual and family therapy, as well as psycho-educational groups five days a week. Some of the modalities we offer include dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT),mindfulness, accelerated resolution therapy (A.R.T) and EMDR. We offer parenting support, psychological testing, assessment, and referral services for extensive neuropsychological evaluation. Additionally, clients engage in experiential groups such as art, psychodrama, music, dance and animal therapy.
